E-commerce sellers shipping internationally face a maze of carrier options, rate structures, customs requirements, and documentation — all of which change by destination country, package weight, and service level. Most sellers either overpay by defaulting to a single carrier, or spend hours comparing rates manually and filling out customs forms by hand for every shipment.

BorderFlow was built to eliminate this friction entirely. We designed and developed an all-in-one shipping platform that connects directly to sellers' stores and marketplaces, compares rates across major carriers in real time, automates customs documentation, and lets sellers generate labels in bulk — turning what used to be a per-order manual process into a few clicks.
Challenges
- Comparing shipping rates across carriers was nearly impossible — each has different pricing structures, service levels, and label formats. Sellers either picked one carrier and overpaid, or spent hours getting quotes manually for every shipment.
- International shipments need customs forms, tax calculations, and product classifications that vary by destination country and product type. Getting it wrong means packages stuck at customs, returned at the seller's expense, or regulatory fines.
- Orders coming in from multiple stores and marketplaces — Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, eBay, Etsy — each arrived in different formats. There was no way to process them through a single shipping workflow without manual re-entry.
- Carriers offer volume discounts, but individual sellers rarely qualify for the best rates. There was no way for small and mid-size sellers to access pre-negotiated commercial rates without a platform handling the relationship.
- Customers had no unified way to track their shipment. Each carrier had its own tracking page, and sellers had no branded tracking experience or automated delivery notifications.

The platform generates customs documentation automatically for each destination country — commercial invoices, product classifications, and duty and tax calculations. Sellers choose between prepaid duties or collect-on-delivery, giving their customers upfront cost visibility before checkout.
Store & Marketplace Connections
Sellers connect their existing stores — Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Amazon, eBay, Etsy — in minutes. Orders flow automatically into a unified queue and can be processed through the platform without changing anything about the seller's existing e-commerce setup.
